President’s Call to order.
Approval of minutes from 9.10.19 meeting.
Pool and Snow Removal:
Outdoor furniture to be moved to far side of pool and shrink wrapped for winter.
Aquatech to check that pool is properly winterized.
Giannini to move pool deck planters to inside of clubhouse for winter.
Patricia Wadsworth to water plants through winter when she cleans the clubhouse.
Pool permit has been received, but expires in 2019. Touchstone to renew permit.
Umbrellas around pool to be replaced and augmented next Spring.
2020 Budget to include funds for additional pool furniture.
Buildings & Grounds:
Attorney submitted claim to boat driver’s insurance company to fix dock.
Letter sent to lawyers representing boat passengers to inspect dock before end of October so we can complete repairs.
Brian Arellano to meet with Village of Brightwaters officials to discuss cleaning up Walker Beach nearest to Captain’s Walk.
Boardwalk inspections should be more frequent.
Board requests more oversight by Touchstone of work done on property.
Touchstone requests that homeowners, and particularly Board members, be more vigilant in reporting problems to Touchstone, particularly lights that need to be replaced, because Touchstone’s inspections happen during daylight.
Board has decided not to sealcoat the roads.
Re Clubhouse Certificate of Occupancy: Town of Islip requested a site plan showing the clubhouse on the property. Expediter will provide to Town of Islip.
Bob Kant reported that several lights around the clubhouse need to be replaced.
Touchstone to remind homeowners of the Holiday Lighting policy adopted in 2018.
Board continues to consider additional lighting for the front of the community.
Kudos to the Landscaping Committee for keeping the community looking better and better.
Finances:
A portion of the HOA Savings Account will be invested in an interest-bearing CD.
Administrative:
Discussion of Touchstone Management Contract, which renews 11/14/19. We propose an extension of one year, along with some changes suggested by Counsel.
Spending limits for Board to be discussed.
Clubhouse:
An estimate for installing security cameras will be obtained.
Future
We will hold a Town Hall meeting on Sunday November 24, 2019 at 4 pm in the clubhouse.
The HOA Board will meet on November 12, December 10, and January 14.
Our Captain’s Walk holiday party will be on December 15 at 4 pm.

In addition to this summary of the October 10, 2019 Board meeting, the Board wants to let the community know that there will be some asphalt work being done in November. This work will take place after November 15th and be in the area between Units 24 and 25. The work relates to the shifting of parking spaces as agreed to by the owners of Units 24 and 25, and as approved by the Board. The cost of the work is being paid for by the owners of Unit 25. The parking spaces may not be available for use for the day the work is being done.
